Creative Futures Exchange

The Creative Futures Exchange project is focused around four themed online workshops with associated digital collaborations between January and June 2022. Each workshop includes guest facilitators from the ºÚÁÏÉç and the University of Ghana creating videos to prompt discussion and participating in discussions. The details and materials for each workshop are available below.

1. Civic roles and relationships (with and Dr Estrella Sendra )
Explores spaces and places of creativity, including why and how creative businesses and practitioners locate in a particular place and create relationships with local communities, government and other businesses. Emeka's talk is available and Estrella's talk is available .

2. Sustainable business models and practices (with and Dr Chris Buckingham )
Explores some of the transformations in how creative businesses and practitioners can start-up and generate sustainable income. Chris' talk is available and Eyram's talk is available .

3. Platforms and technologies (with and Dr Brian Hracs )
Explores the impact of digital platforms and technologies on how creative businesses and practitioners create new content, products and services and engage with their audiences and consumers. Brian's talk is available and Eyram's talk is available .

4. Equality, diversity and inclusion (with and Dr Shelley Cobb )
Explores issues of access and representation for creative businesses and practitioners through an intersectional approach (including class, race, gender, disability and sexual orientation). Shelley’s talk is available (and ) and Abena’s talk is available .

The Resources and Reports page includes three reports on the different approaches to internationalisation, COIL and creative industries pedagogies engaged with during the planning and design of the workshops. Further evaluation and reflections materials will be available on June and July 2022.
