Jessica Spurrell is the manager of the Talk to US! public engagement project hosted by the ºÚÁÏÉç Education school, one of 12 national School-University Partnership Initiatives (SUPIs) funded by RCUK and co-ordinated by the NCCPE. She is also a Postgraduate Research Student within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the ºÚÁÏÉç. Her experience includes:
- Undergraduate studies at ºÚÁÏÉç and SupAéro, Toulouse, France in Aerospace Engineering (with French, Spanish and Arabic).
- Outreach and public engagement work including: the Sustainable Energy Scheme, the Green Power challenge, the Energy Exhibition at the RSA, Frozen Aliens and Superpowers workshop, Bright Club Southampton, Speakezee, International Women’s Week events.
- Work experience includes projects with Air Products Plc., GE Altair and the National Trust.
- Volunteering experiences with STEMnet, Environmental Rock, the Ffestinniog Steam Railway, Tenovus, Water Aid, Girlguiding UK and more. · Creator of blog , celebrating the achievements of great scientists, artists, engineers, philanthropists, politicians, musicians, sports folk and more - who just happen to be women.
