Biography
Tim Waters studied Mathematics at the University of Bristol. On graduation, he spent three years at British Aerospace (Airbus) Ltd where he worked in aerodynamic and elastic modelling of aircraft structures for flutter prediction. He completed his PhD at the University of Bristol, funded by British Aerospace, to research new methods for validating dynamic finite element models of aircraft wings. He joined the ISVR in 1998, initially as a research fellow and consulting engineer. He is currently a professor of vibration engineering and has a broad range of research interests in both the mitigation and exploitation of structural vibration.
