I am a qualified secondary school teacher and have worked in the areas of education and human rights in England, Guatemala and Colombia.I currently teach an introductory module on Spain and Latin America as well as modules on Globalisation, Gender, race and nation in Latin America and Historical Memory in Latin America. My research interests include indigenous activism in Latin America and the criminalisation of protest. I am programme lead for Modern Languages and Linguistics programmes with one, two and three languages.
