She has a long-standing interest in studying demographic trends in Ukraine. Recently she has collaborated with colleagues to study Internally Displaced Persons, depopulation, and fertility in Ukraine. Publications include articles on the triple burden of depopulation in Ukraine (), the household composition of refugees since Russia鈥檚 invasion (), and a chapter on demographic crisis in a report on Ukraine's post-war recovery ().
