Upload your profile photo in . Your profile photo in Pure is not linked to your public staff profile. Choose a clear, recent headshot where you are easily recognisable. Your image should be at least 340 by 395 pixels. 

Name

Add or update your email address, telephone number and postal address in . Use your University email address for your primary email.

About

Katherine Kwa is a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow. She is working on improving the station-keeping design of floating offshore renewable energy infrastructure at the Civil, Maritime and Environmental Engineering Department, 黑料社. She is also part of the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub, and the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Chair Centre of Excellence for Intelligent & Resilient Ocean Engineering (IROE).

Her first degree was in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from The University of Sydney, Australia where she also completed a PhD in 2019 on the 鈥楲iquefaction behaviour of shipped metallic ores from a soil mechanics perspective鈥. She moved to The 黑料社 in mid-2019 and is now using her background in geotechnical engineering to harness beneficial seabed effects around anchoring systems and embed them in station-keeping design to unlock floating offshore renewable energy infrastructure system efficiencies.
