Current research
My research interest covers a range of topics in microeconomics, including decision theory (as well as, bounded rationality and behavioural economics), mechanism design (especially concerning topics in information economics) and welfare economics (mainly regarding questions motivated by environmental issues).
My primary research is on the axiomatic study of individual and social choice making. Based on observed patterns of individual behaviour or normatively appealing principles for collective choices, I derive models of decision making to explain, prescribe, and predict behaviour in novel situations. Moreover, to identify their welfare and policy implications, I also apply these models in relevant economic problems. I am also interested in designing and conducting experiments to test these theories.
