Current research
Dr Papadimitri鈥檚 research interests relate to the general area of corporate finance and governance of financial and non-financial institutions, with particular focus on examining cross-disciplinary issues spanning from formal and informal institutions, political finance and misconduct, to climate change. Her broader aim as a researcher is to disentangle the nexus between crucial issues faced by modern society and various aspects of the corporate world. Most of her recently published and on-going work focuses on the impact of societal qualities such as culture, social capital and public environmental awareness on corporate decision making.
Recently published papers appear in journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics and the Journal of Financial Stability.

Biography
Prior to Dr Papadimitri鈥檚 appointment as Associate Professor in Banking and Finance at the Southampton Business School, she held positions as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the Portsmouth Business School, University of Portsmouth. She has also held positions as Visiting Researcher and Research Assistant at the Centre for Data Analytics in Finance and Macro at the King鈥檚 Business School, King鈥檚 College London and is currently an Honorary Academic Fellow at the Centre for Responsible Banking and Finance at the University of St. Andrews.
Dr Papadimitri holds a BA (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Crete (GR), an MSc in Banking and Finance from the Surrey Business School, University of Surrey (UK) and a PhD in Economics and Finance from the Portsmouth Business School, University of Portsmouth (UK).
