This PhD project advances deep learning for turbulence modeling in combustion. Using CNNs and GANs, it tackles challenges in data demands and generalization. The goal is to develop predictive models for hydrogen-based and carbon-neutral fuels, guiding sustainable energy design. Key tasks include model optimization, integration, and Exascale scalability. -
Photonics and optoelectronics
Shaping light at the nanoscale with dielectric nanoantennas
The scope of this project is to advance our knowledge in nanophotonics by designing and fabricating nanoantennas that allow full control of the scattered field at the nanoscale. Single nanoantennas with arbitrary shape as well as arrays of coupled nanoantennas will be designed, fabricated and tested. -
